Egg Yellow FONDUST® is an easy to use water soluble powdered food color. Microencapsulated and perfect for coloring fondant, gumpaste, sugar work (before or after baking), almond paste, royal icing, buttercream, cake mix, macaroons, decorating gel, candy, etc. Practically anything. . . except chocolate.
Size: 4 grams
All colours and dye lots can sustain slight variations from batch to batch.
Ingredients: One or more of the following FD&C colours Blue (E133), Blue 2 (E132), Red 40 (E129), Yellow 5 (E102), Starch, Si02 (E551).
All Fondust colours meet FDA and Health Canada food colouring standards. Most colours meet European and UK food standards, except those containing Red 3 (E127). Such ingredient is mentioned on the label when present.
Shelf Life: Indefinite if stored properly. Product is best used within 3 years.
Storage: Fondust should be stored in tightly closed containers protected from light, heat sources and excessive moisture.
How to use FONDUST®?
Open the jar over a paper towel and dip the fondant into the jar. If you have a lot of fondant, set it in a bowl and add the desired amount of FONDUST® (max. 3 g / 0.9 kg or 0.1 oz / 2 lbs).
Knead gently for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the powder is well incorporated into the fondant. You’re ready to begin creating!
