Candy melts are the best type of chocolate for cake pops. This includes candy melts, melting wafers or Guittard A’Peels . They make for a smooth, firm, and easy-to-dip coating that sets quickly.

We recommend the following ratio for cold packs: 1 cold pack per 1kg of chocolate
Should your chocolate arrive melted, often times they can still be used.
Ingredients: Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Palm Kernel oil, Artficial Color (FD&C Blue Lake #2, FD&C Yellow Lake #6, FD&C Red Lake #40), Reduced Mineral Whey Powder, Whole Milk Solids, Titanium Dioxide, Nonfat Dry Milk Solids, Soy Lecethin (an emulsifier), Salt and Artificial Flavor.
Allergens: Milk and Soy. May contain trace amounts of peanut due to common processing equipment.
Gluten: This product is gluten free.

These are not even close to being Black. I bought a couple of bags and they served their purpose. Would not recommend if looking for a Black if you are doing a Tuxedo Cake Pops. ...
These candy wafers are not black at all! More like a dark purply gray colour. The girl at the counter assured me that it would look black when it is melted. I regret listening to her. I bought two bags of this too!! ...
