Flour Confection is happy to host two masters, once again. Join Mike McCarey, of Mike's Amazing Cakes, and Lauren Kitchens, of Fancy Cakes by Lauren, during this 1 day class, to learn all about sculpting with modeling chocolate.

A Morning of Modeling Chocolate Basics with Mike

Mike will take you through all the steps of making, properly handling, and creating all that you can imagine in modeling chocolate. From basic finishes to elaborate 3D effects, all will be explored through various demonstrations by Mike and hands on practical work by the students.

An Afternoon Making Modeling Chocolate Faux Food with Lauren

Lauren will take you step by step to learn the techniques of using modeling chocolate along with airbrushing and texturizing to create the most realistic faux food imaginable. From a full plate of sushi to a full plate of breakfast, and more.... This tasty project will go home with you in a real to-go food container.

Learn easy, everyday techniquies that can be applied to any faux food project. This class is a wonderful exercise in modeling chocolate, airbrushing, and texturizing that can be practiced at any skill level.

All supplies & materials will be provided for use during the class. A catered lunch will be provided.
